In order to further implement the Endeavor Action, give full play to the leading role of peer role models, and help undergraduates better plan the development path of disciplines, the School of Intelligence Science and Technology specially invited the undergraduate counselors and senior undergraduates of the School of Artificial Intelligence to hold a peer experience sharing meeting for all undergraduates of the School of Intelligent Science and Technology on October 31. This event invited Chen Ying, Secretary of the Youth League Committee and Undergraduate Counselor of the School of Artificial Intelligence, Yang Bohan, Tan Rongxi, Yi Huiyu, 2021 undergraduates of the School of Artificial Intelligence, and Fu Qinghan, 2022 undergraduates, to share and exchange.
Before the start of the sharing session, Chen Ying, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the School of Artificial Intelligence, introduced the overall employment and further study of undergraduates after graduation since the establishment of the college. She first introduced the general direction of further study and employment as a whole, and pointed out that many students may feel anxious about the choice of graduate school, postgraduate entrance examination, employment and going abroad, but the overall thing is still to be down-to-earth and do the things in front of them. As for the research institute that students are more concerned about, remind students to pay attention to credit performance and understand the bonus point policy, and encourage everyone to actively participate in the competition. For the graduate school entrance examination, she clarified its difficulty and suggested that you should be fully prepared. In terms of employment, she emphasized the importance of practical experience for employment. Finally, she encouraged the students to actively participate in scientific research activities, and invited several seniors to share their research experience and help them plan for the future.
Yang Bohan shared his experience in detail from the aspects of information acquisition, personal resume, written test, interview, and computer-based test in the process of insurance research. In terms of information acquisition, he mentioned that preparation is very important, and suggested that students pay attention to the specific standard requirements of each intended college and contact interested tutors in advance. For resumes, he emphasized the importance of optimizing personal resumes, and suggested that you should pay attention to the layout and content of your resume in order to make a good impression on the interviewer. In terms of summer camp selection, he introduced the subjects to be examined in the written test and computer-based test, and listed the types of questions that may be encountered in the interview, so as to provide students with preparation ideas. Finally, he encouraged everyone to be flexible with changes during the application process and to remain positive about the challenges ahead.
Tan Rongxi shared his research preparation, group selection and personal research experience. First of all, he suggested that everyone should prepare for the insurance research in terms of enriching resumes, reviewing knowledge points, and referring to experience on the Internet. In terms of group selection, he emphasized that the selection of supervisors is the most important, and recommended well-known laboratories from major universities. In addition, he shared his scientific research experience and scientific research life, and talked about the process of writing a paper. For undergraduates to join the group for scientific research, he emphasized that it is an adaptation to the life of graduate students, to be proactive, diligent and responsible, and dare to face failure, and described several stages on the road of scientific research. Finally, he encouraged everyone to learn more from the experience of their predecessors, chase the tide of the new era, and not rest on their laurels.
Yi Huiyu shared important experiences related to the competition. He first emphasized the important value of the competition for going abroad, research, employment and other directions, and recommended competitions such as the Challenge Cup, Internet +, and Computer Design Competition. Then, he elaborated on how to achieve good results in the competition from the aspects of topic selection ideas, teamwork, PPT production, etc., and showed everyone the projects he participated in the competition, emphasizing the importance of data comparison, showing project advantages and innovation. Finally, Yi Huiyu called on everyone to pay attention to the development opportunities brought by the competition, and encouraged students to find their own direction in the selection of tracks.
Fu Qinghan shared his experience in the recruitment of civil servants, which was mainly divided into two aspects: selection and volunteer service. In terms of selection, he introduced in detail the examination process of the central selection and transfer of students from the perspective of application requirements, application time, written test question types and inspection directions, and emphasized that the application threshold is high, and a variety of school-level student honors and study and work experience are required. In the volunteer service part, he shared his volunteer service experience of participating in the enrollment promotion in Shandong during the summer, and pointed out the value of expanding his horizons and increasing practical experience. Finally, Fu Qinghan summarized the significance of volunteering and encouraged everyone to actively participate in improving their abilities.
After the four students shared, the students enthusiastically asked questions, including how to balance academic studies and competitive research, how to read papers, how to find a suitable direction, etc., and the four students gave detailed answers one by one.
This peer experience sharing meeting is not only aimed at insurance research, but also from the preparation for going abroad, discipline competition, discipline practice, public employment and other all-round introduction, the content is precious and substantial, full of dry goods, for the undergraduates of the School of Intelligent Science and Technology to provide very valuable research experience and scientific research guidance. I believe that many confused students have answered the doubts in their hearts, clarified the goals that suit them, and found the direction of their efforts. I wish you all to stay true to your original intention, forge ahead, and harvest exciting offers in the golden autumn of next year!
