In order to carry forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture, enhance cultural self-confidence, and effectively promote the five whole education, on March 21, the College of Intelligent Science and Technology organized the undergraduate League branch to Suzhou Yuyao Gold Nugget Museum to carry out the theme of Inheriting culture, feeling ingenuity. Through field visits, interactive experiences and other forms, the activity allowed students to have an in-depth understanding of the production process and cultural value of the Imperial Kiln gold bricks, a national intangible cultural heritage. College counselor, team construction instructor Liu Haohan together.
Suzhou Yuyao Gold Brick Museum is the only special museum in China with the theme of Imperial kiln gold bricks, which completely preserves and displays this national intangible cultural heritage. The students first visited the core exhibition area of the museum. We learned about the precious value of one or two gold bricks of the imperial kiln, as well as the 29 production processes of selecting soil and mud, making billets and drying, firing the water of the kiln and polishing the synthesizer. Especially when seeing the gold bricks preserved from Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, the students were amazed at the spirit of craftsmanship of the ancient craftsmen.
In the originality inheritance exhibition area, the students stopped to observe the production skills of gold bricks. Through close observation, we found that the seemingly simple billet making process is actually a secret - the dry and wet degree of mud, the beating force rhythm directly affects the quality of the finished product. The process alone requires months of repeated practice, not to mention the subsequent firing process. The docents said.
In front of the BRICS Story booth, the students gently touched the gold bricks that have been baptized for 600 years. Smooth as a mirror brick surface, crisp and pleasant knocking sound, let everyone really feel the pursuit of one or two gold a brick quality. These gold bricks went through dozens of processes and took more than two years to make, but they can stand for hundreds of years in the Hall of Supreme Harmony in the Forbidden City. This craftsman spirit of excellence is admirable. Gu Jiawei said deeply after the visit. Through physical observation and professional explanation, students have a deeper understanding of the rigor and science of traditional crafts.
Counselor Liu Haohan said: This activity not only let the students understand the traditional crafts, but more importantly, through physical observation and personal experience, let everyone have a deeper interest in and recognition of traditional culture. At the end of the activity, all students took a group photo in front of the museum to record this educational and practical journey.
This activity not only let the students intuitively feel the broad and profound Chinese culture, the craftsman spirit of a little soil into gold, but also sows the seeds of inheritance and promotion of Chinese culture, I believe that in the future this seed will be able to take root in the hearts of students, and contribute to the inheritance of excellent traditional Chinese culture. The College will continue to explore the cultural connotation of Suzhou, promote the five full education to go solid and deep, so that students can grow into talents in action.
