On the morning of April 3, 2025, the Nanjing University-Huawei Intelligence Science and Technology Workshop was successfully held in Room 124, West District of Nanyong Building, Suzhou Campus. The School of Intelligence Science and Technology and Huawei's Noah AI Data Technology Laboratory engaged in in-depth discussions on technical collaboration. Attendees included Wei Jiansheng, Director of Huawei's Noah AI Data Technology Laboratory; Ding Chenjian, Director of Huawei's Nanjing University System Department; Gao Yang, Party Secretary and Executive Dean of the School of Intelligence Science and Technology at Nanjing University; Vice Deans Shan Caifeng and Dai Wangzhou; and Assistant Dean Yao Yao, among others. The meeting was chaired by Ding Chenjian.
Gao Yang, on behalf of the School, expressed sincere appreciation for Huawei's long-standing support and extended a warm welcome to the technical experts from Huawei's Noah’s Ark AI Data Technology Laboratory. He provided a brief overview of the existing projects and technical collaborations between the School and Huawei, expressing hope that the workshop would serve as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation in scientific research, talent cultivation, and industry-academia integration, aligning with the new engineering talent development initiatives at the Suzhou Campus.
Wei Jiansheng reviewed the collaborative history and achievements between Huawei and Nanjing University, expressing gratitude for the strong support provided by the University. On behalf of Huawei's Noah ‘s Ark AI Data Technology Laboratory, he briefly introduced the current technical challenges Huawei faces in the field of AI data and expressed the desire to work closely with the School of Intelligence Science and Technology to tackle these challenges and enhance collaboration.
Faculty members Dai Wangzhou, Yao Yao, Xu Ke, Fan Qi, Fu Chaoyou, Shi Jieqi, Si Chenyang, Liu Jiaheng, Wang Boyan, and Zhang Jian presented their primary research directions and achievements, focusing on the application and demands of artificial intelligence in the industrial sector.
Huawei's technical experts engaged in in-depth discussions with the faculty, aligning research directions with Huawei's technical needs. Both sides conducted lively exchanges and collaboratively refined potential project directions and technical frameworks, expressing a shared desire to deepen cooperation across more areas in the future.
