The 2024 Pattern Recognition Forum (PRF) was successfully held at 9:00 am on May 18th at Nanjing University Suzhou Campus. In previous years, the event was named the Pattern Recognition Summit Forum and will be renamed as the Pattern Recognition Frontier Forum starting from 2024. The first Pattern Recognition Frontier Forum was jointly sponsored by Nanjing University, the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Jiangnan University, and hosted by the School of Intelligent Science and Technology of Nanjing University, the Pattern Recognition Laboratory of the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Josef Kittler Institute of Artificial Intelligence of Jiangnan University. Academician Tan Tieniu, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University, attended the entire conference and delivered a speech. Professor Gao Yang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive Dean of the university, presided over the opening ceremony.
