On the afternoon of April 16, 2025, the “University of Reading School of Computer Science – Nanjing University School of Intelligence Science and Technology Exchange Meeting” was successfully held in Room 514, East Wing, Nanyong Building.Professors James Ferryman, Hong Wei, and Todd Jones from the School of Computer Science at the University of Reading were invited to visit.Vice Deans of the School of Intelligence Science and Technology, Prof. Cai-Feng Shan and Prof. Wangzhou Dai, as well as Associate Professors Zili Yi and Ying Tai, Tenure-track Associate Professors Fang Zhao and Xiaoxiao Long, and Tenure-track Assistant Professor Yueming Lv attended the meeting which was chaired by Prof. Shan.
Before the meeting, Prof. Shan led the experts on a tour of the campus and the School’s facilities. He provided a brief introduction to the School of Intelligence Science and Technology, covering its disciplinary positioning, development history, academic exchange, and research achievements.Prof. Shan highlighted that the School places great emphasis on talent recruitment. Since its establishment, it has built a high-caliber faculty team of nearly 40 members. To further promote scientific research and talent cultivation, the School has also invited several renowned scholars to serve as adjunct professors, contributing to curriculum development and educational efforts.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed a strong interest in establishing in-depth collaboration across multiple areas and looked forward to arranging further discussions and resource sharing in the near future.
