On December 5th, Gao Yang, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Intelligent Science and Technology, and three teachers, Yi Zili, Zhao Fang, and Guo Lanzhe, entered the student community and participated in the Renyuan Afternoon Tea activity, Exchange and discuss with student representatives from the 2022 Intelligent Science and Technology course group. Teachers and counselors from the Suzhou Campus Office of the undergraduate college participated in this event.
At the beginning of the event, Teacher Gao Yang first introduced the current professional characteristics, talent cultivation concepts, and medium - and long-term development plans of the Institute of Intelligent Science from the perspective of top-level design. At the same time, he had high expectations for his classmates as the first undergraduate students of the Institute of Intelligent Science; Teacher Yi Zili encourages everyone to listen to their hearts, stick to their love, and bravely pursue their dreams based on their own learning experience; Teacher Zhao Fang has provided students with a broad and open career development perspective through his work experience in different fields and companies; As the lecturer of this semester's professional courses, Teacher Guo Lanzhe provided clear academic guidance to students with concern and thoughtfulness, guiding them to actively discover their specific directions in the professional field and deepen their interests.Next, the students introduced themselves and raised their own thoughts and questions, and invited teachers to answer and exchange ideas on site. A classmate asked how to balance the relationship between obtaining high credit scores and developing personal interests; A classmate shared their learning experience from the perspective of an experienced individual regarding the current overall course plan; Some students expressed that they saw a broader world after coming to Nanjing University, but felt confused due to being exposed to too many affairs; Some students also expressed their concern for employment and entrepreneurship in their professional fields. Teachers carefully listen to each student's questions and respond one by one based on their years of research and work experience.
The students put forward their confusion wholeheartedly, while the teachers patiently answered questions and resolved doubts. The atmosphere on site was friendly and enthusiastic. During this process, classmates actively communicated and gained a deeper understanding of each other's ideas and needs, providing a more comprehensive and valuable reference for the development of the college. Teacher Gao Yang mentioned in his concluding speech that students should have a deep understanding of the important significance of the Suzhou campus, participate in scientific research projects as early as possible under the guidance of college teachers, strive to meet the development needs of the country for new engineering, be concerned about national affairs, and shoulder national responsibilities.The activity unconsciously came to an end, and the sharing and answers from the teachers became a fulfilling and meaningful lesson for the students. The afternoon tea was full of dry goods, and the students gained a lot.The Renyuan Afternoon Tea series of activities is an important part of our school's education team's Three Rooms and One Hall special activity. This invitation to professional teachers from the Institute of Intelligent Science to enter the community not only builds a bridge for face-to-face communication and exchange between students and professional teachers, but also allows the education team to come to the side of students, care for students, understand students, help students, and comprehensively promote the construction of a one-stop student community.
